We Don't Retain Your Data
Easy Expense Tracker does not retain, store, or maintain any of your data on our servers.
Local Storage Only
All of your expense data, categories, preferences, and settings are stored exclusively on your device. This includes:
- • Expense records and transactions
- • Category preferences and emojis
- • Theme and currency selections
- • Your PIN (if you choose to set one)
What This Means For You
- • Total Privacy: Your financial information never leaves your device
- • No Cloud Syncing: We do not offer cloud backup or synchronization services
- • No Data Deletion Requests: Since we don't have your data, there's nothing to delete from our servers
- • Your Data, Your Responsibility: You maintain complete control over your data
Data Persistence
Your data will persist on your device for as long as:
- • The application is installed or accessible in your browser
- • You do not clear your browser cache or app storage
- • Your device storage is not wiped
Data Portability
Easy Expense Tracker provides multiple export formats so you can access and backup your data:
- • CSV Format: Import into spreadsheet applications
- • JSON Format: Machine-readable structured data
- • Text Format: Human-readable report format
You can export your data at any time from the Download button in the header.
Device Switching
If you switch to a new device:
- Export your data from the old device
- Install Easy Expense Tracker on your new device
- Your data will not automatically be available (since we don't store it)
- You will need to manually restore or re-enter your data
Third-Party Services
Easy Expense Tracker does not use any backend services, databases, or third-party storage solutions. Your data never touches any external service, meaning there is no data retention on any server.
Your Data is Yours
By design, Easy Expense Tracker ensures that you have complete ownership and control of your financial data. We believe privacy is a fundamental right, and our architecture reflects this commitment.
